Our AutoJet Control Panels represent an innovative approach to mining operation management, specifically designed to streamline and optimise the functioning of nozzles on underground conveyors. This product is an excellent example of technology meeting practicality, and it was designed and fabricated right here in Australia, at Melbourne factory.

Harnessing Innovation in Conveyor Management

Each AutoJet Control Panel is engineered to manage the activation of two sets of nozzles on one of 12 underground conveyors. The first set of nozzles is strategically placed at the end of the conveyor, near a transfer point. These nozzles have a singular, important function: washing off coal fines to prevent carry-back, consequently minimising dust along the conveyor. This set of cleaning nozzles springs into action when the conveyor is turned on.

The second set of nozzles, placed near the end of the conveyor on the top, is activated by a sensor that detects the presence of coal on the belt. These nozzles serve to spray a mist just before the transfer point, significantly reducing airborne dust. When there is no coal on the belt, these sprays remain turned off, thus conserving water.

Driving Sustainability Through Efficient Water Management

The AutoJet Control Panels are not just designed to reduce dust and ensure conveyor cleanliness, they are a powerful tool in the pursuit of sustainability. By precisely controlling nozzle activation, the panels help to minimise water consumption in mining operations. This also alleviates the issues associated with excessive underground water use, such as bogging.

Our system is compact and requires low maintenance, making it a practical solution for mining operations. Furthermore, our AutoJet Control Panels are designed to be reliable and robust, able to withstand the harsh conditions of the mining environment.

In addition, they meet stringent underground safety regulations. The panels can be managed directly from the mine's control room, providing ease of operation and improved oversight.

Our local expertise will ensure you get the best solution

Spraying Systems Australia has engineers based in every part of Australia. In this instance our local spray expert has worked on many coal mines and knows the droplet size required to best minimise coal dust. The droplet size needs to be the same size as the dust particles for best performance and it is this local knowledge that makes Spraying Systems the best choice for Dust Control in Australia.
