Air Knives & Air Nozzles Improve Drying and Blow-off Applications
Slash operating costs by reducing or eliminating compressed air usage for drying, cooling and blow-off operations.
Blower Air Products
WindJet blower products provide powerful, energy-saving solutions for drying and blow-off applications without the need for compressed air. These systems generate clean, heated airflow with minimal noise and maintenance, helping reduce operational costs while delivering consistent, high-impact performance. With durable construction and easy installation, WindJet blowers ensure reliable, uniform airflow for a wide range of industrial applications.
WindJet® Blower Air Knife and Air Cannon Packages generate clean, heated air for drying and blow-off. They require no compressed air and generate very low operating noise. Offered as a complete solution, these systems eliminate integration problems, are easy to install and require little maintenance. These packages consist of:
WindJet Regenerative Blowers
These blowers use a dynamic operating principle that recycles a portion of the air and provide performance comparable to many multi-stage or positive displacement blowers. In a regenerative blower, the compression space consists of a hollow circular ring between the tips of the impeller blades and the walls of the housing. In operation, the rotating impeller draws air from the inlet port into the compression space and moves it radially outward to the curved housing by centrifugal force. This action is called "regenerative" because a certain amount of air slips past each impeller blade during rotation and returns to the base of a succeeding blade for re-acceleration.
- Available with 5.5, 10, 20A, 25 and 30 HP motors. Assemblies include pressure relief valve, pressure gauge, air inlet filter, filter monitoring gauge, fittings and mounting adapter for flexible or rigid tubing
- Low sound levels - 77 to 90 dBa, depending on blower size and pressure
- Blowers are lightweight and mountable in any position
- Low maintenance, direct drive operation; three-phase, dual frequency and multi-voltage motor versions
- No heating element; air is warmed by heat generated during operation
- Fan cooling dissipates heat around the bearings to extend wear life
- Continuous, non-pulsating, oil-free air flow
- Anodized aluminum construction for corrosion protection
- TEFC motors; CE and cURus certified
- Filter monitoring gauge alerts operator when service is required
WindJet Blower Air Knives provide continuous, high-impact airflow for uniform drying and blow-off over wide areas - typically 2' (61 cm) or more.
- Standard knife lengths of 6", 12" 18" 24", 30" and 36" (152, 305, 457, 610, 762 and 914 mm); custom lengths also available
- Air slot sizes of .040" and .060" (1 and 1.5 mm)
- Superior performance - straight, controlled air stream
- WindJet air knives feature a unique leading-edge design that directs the airflow out of the knife in a straight stream. The result of this leading-edge design is a uniform, high volume, constant air stream along the entire length of the knife. The spotting and blotching problems associated with many air knives are eliminated
- Leading edge design also provides a visual guide, pointing out the direction of the flow and allowing easy positioning of the knife to ensure maximum target coverage
- Leak-proof end cap gaskets to prevent leakage on aluminum air knives
- Corrosion-resistant finish
- 3" flanged air inlet
- Also available in 316 stainless steel
WindJet Blower Air Cannons: Move bulk materials and provide drying in irregularly shaped parts with tightly directed, high-velocity air streams.
- Used alone or in conjunction with air knife packages for complete drying by providing a high velocity air stream into holes and indentations in irregularly shaped parts
- Built-in mount spacer simplifies positioning in a mount bracket
- Anodized aluminum construction for corrosion-resistance and long wear life
- Also available in 316 stainless steel
- Three orifice sizes: .5", .75" and 1" (12.7, 19 and 25.4 mm)
Compressed Air Nozzles and Products
WindJet Compressed Air products provide high-impact air for effective drying and blow-off applications, significantly reducing air consumption compared to open tubes and pipes.
WindJet Compressed Air Nozzles: A versatile solution for spot drying, cooling, and debris removal in industries like electronics, automotive manufacturing, and industrial assembly. WindJet nozzles provide a flat fan or round spray pattern are available in a variety of sizes, capacities and materials that withstand high temperatures. They may be operated intermittently or continuously and can be mounted side-by-side to create an air curtain. WindJet nozzles provide significant savings on air usage and reduce perceived noise up to 60% compared to open pipes.

WindJet Compressed Air Knives: Provide low-noise, high-velocity air curtains for drying, cooling, and blow-off applications. They are particularly useful in applications where no increase in temperature is permitted, such as removing moisture from food packages where added heat could damage the product. These air knives are available in lengths from 3" (8 cm) up to 2' (61 cm) and are engineered to reduce compressed air consumption by up to 92%, drastically lowering operating costs while maintaining precise and uniform airflow (see table below).
