Spraying Systems are leading providers of innovative nozzle and spraying solutions, widely recognized for their application in the Meat Processing industry across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. As animals are prepped for entry to an abattoir, it's imperative to maintain hygiene and cleanliness. This is where our products come into play, notably in leg washes, underbelly washes, and overhead sprays.

Spraying Systems offers a range of solutions in the Holding Pens

Leg Wash:

Our Solution: Our VeeJet or FlatJet flat fan spray nozzles are strategically placed around the boundaries of holding pens, targeting the legs of the animals. These nozzles, when correctly sized, can effectively remove dirt with minimal water usage. They function in tandem with a timed system, where they spray at certain intervals, allowing dirt to soften in between sprays for easier removal.

Underbelly Wash:

Our Solution: Our unique Maximum free passage FullJet Nozzles are a game changer. They boast a free vane which contrasts with standard FullJets, providing a wider passage and reducing blockages. They're available in both brass and stainless-steel. As always, our Sales Engineers stand ready to guide on nozzle selection and optimal positioning.

Overhead Spray:

Our Solution: We recommend the use of our wide angle full cone FullJet and SpiralJet nozzles. Notably, the leg, belly, and overhead sprays are often replicated in the cattle race that leads to the slaughter floor, from the holding pens is fully removed.

Wide angle FullJet nozzles, square or round, are used to cool the animals when the weather gets warm, this is to calm them down and, at the same time to keep them clean.

Nozzle Selection:

A pivotal aspect of achieving optimum outcomes while mitigating water and energy wastage is nozzle selection. Every holding pen and its requirements differ, and generalised solutions might not always work.
