Engineered for Ultra-Fine Powders. Built for Spray Drying Precision
In spray drying, droplet size dictates quality, efficiency, and consistency. The SprayDry® DualDry™ Nozzle delivers smaller droplets, down to less than 10 microns, using a powerful dual atomization process. High-pressure hydraulic spraying forms the initial fine droplets, then compressed air further reduces and tightens the distribution for better powder uniformity and faster drying.
From ingredients and flavorings to dairy and pharmaceuticals, the DualDry™ is engineered to meet the strict demands of modern spray drying systems — delivering finer powders, improved process control, and energy-efficient performance.
Smarter Spray Drying with Dual Atomization
Traditional air atomizing nozzles often struggle to consistently produce ultra-fine powders. The DualDry™ solves this by integrating two stages of droplet formation: a high-pressure liquid stream initiates the atomization, and compressed air finishes the job, delivering a narrower drop size distribution and improved repeatability across batches.
Operators can easily fine-tune performance with multiple air caps, orifice sizes, and nozzle configurations. Optional steam compatibility makes the nozzle ideal for starch cooking. Removing other thermal processing applications.

Why Droplet Size Matters
In spray drying, finer droplets translate directly into:
-
Faster evaporation of droplets
-
Reduced operating temperature
-
Higher product quality
-
Improved solubility and reconstitution
-
Reduced wall deposition and increased yield
By producing consistently smaller droplets, the DualDry™ enables processors to meet demanding specifications while improving drying efficiency and product yield.
