Certified Welder

Employment at our brand new facility in Deinze.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Certified Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling welded injector components to the highest precision standards. Working under the Workshop Coordinator, this role is the hands-on manufacturing backbone of the injector team, executing welds and assemblies in compliance with ASME B31.3, EN 13480, and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) requirements, following WPS/PQR instructions established for each product. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welding & Fabrication:

  • Perform welding operations per ASME B31.3, EN 13480, and PED requirements, strictly following approved WPS/PQR instructions for each assembly.
  • Fabricate and assemble specialty injectors as designed by the Engineering team including pipe fitting activities like cutting, beveling, and fit-up of pipe spools and components in preparation for welding.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Quality:
  • Support quality inspection and testing of welded assemblies; make weld records and traceability documentation available to the QA/QC Inspector for the manufacturing databook. 
  • Maintain welding certifications current.

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to all ASME or PED regulations during the manufacturing process.
    • Maintain records of welding activities, and equipment maintenance is required by ASME and PED.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification & Experience:

  • Current welding certification per ASME IX and/or ISO 9606 — required; PED awareness is an asset.
  • Working familiarity with ASME B31.3, EN 13480, and PED requirements as they apply to welded pressure piping and equipment. 
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience, preferably in precision or pressure equipment manufacturing.
  • Proven experience fabricating high-pressure equipment.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, PQR and WPS documents. 
  • Strong knowledge of TIG welding processes, materials, and TIG welding equipment.

Languages:

English required.
