Quality Inspector

 Spraying Systems AutoJet Belgium is currently looking for a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Inspector (QA/QC Inspector) for Oil & Gas special injectors manufacturing. The QA/QC Inspector will follow the entire injectors manufacturing process, from receiving to delivery, in order to ensure the project quality standards are met. Apart from that, QA/QC Inspector will perform injectors leak test (hydrotesting) as per ASME B31.3 standard, and will work closely with the customer regards to project documentation control.

Your Duties & Responsibilities:

 
  • RECEIVING INSPECTION:
    • Perform visual and mechanical inspection on incoming products and materials in accordance with purchase orders, company drawings for the different ASME and EN standards, code requirements, customer specifications, and/or engineering blueprints.
    • Material Test Reports check and control.
    • PMI testing of incoming raw materials.
    • Receiving products marking according to internal traceability procedures.
  • IN-PROCESS INSPECTION:
    • Perform inspections on manufacturing processes.
    • Prepare receiving acceptance reports related to machined parts for quality check controls.
    • Measure machined parts with calipers, gauges, or micrometers, and register the data in reports.
  • NDE TESTING
    • Perform Hydrostatic Testing according to ASME B31.3.
  • QUALITY CONTROL:
    • Welding Process controls (PQR; WPS; WPQ; WPQ revalidation, etc.).
    • Measuring Instruments Calibration controls.
    • Water analysis controls.
    • Perform inspection on outgoing products (final inspection).
    • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
  • DOCUMENT CONTROL:
    • Project documentation management. Manage whole doc approval process with customer, i.e.: transmittals, reviews, CRSs, etc.
 

Your skills and qualifications:

  • +1 year of experience in Quality Control, or have significant work experience in manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication, and machining experience.
  • Knowledge of pipes, pipe fittings, valves, bars and materials is recommended.
  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and understand contract documents, codes & standards, specifications and drawings. EN 13480, ASME XI and ASME B31.3 apply.
  • In depth knowledge of ASME and AWS codes.
  • Knowledgeable in ASME inspection process - incoming inspection, material certification and marking requirements and in-process inspection.
  • ASME Knowledge in code sections for hydrostatic testing, and be able to generate ASME records (required data reports, shop travelers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and verify or add weld symbols and finish callouts.
  • Ability to use measurement instruments, including pressure gauges, calipers, micrometers, and weld reinforcement gauges.
  • Ability to verify completeness and accuracy of the information recorded.
  • Ability to work, schedule and interact with Authorized ASME Inspections and present documents for their review, sign-off, etc.
  • Familiar with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma and ISO 9001 a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers and departments including customers regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.
  • Must be a self-starter who has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software, working within ERP Systems, must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe Pro, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Structural Drawings.
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.
  • Experience with NDE standards and processes is a plus.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • NDE certifications a plus.
