Support Engineer

Spraying Systems AutoJet Europe BVBA is a 100 % owned subsidiary of Spraying Systems Co in Wheaton, USA. We produce spray solutions for the European market and on request also for other Spraying Systems locations in the EMEA region. This mainly concerns the automation of spraying systems to control and monitor various spraying applications. In addition, we also develop the electronics that are used worldwide to drive the nozzles.

We are currently hiring a

Support Engineer

reporting to our Operations Director in Ghent.

Your tasks would be the following:

  • First line of (telephone) support for all sold systems
  • Basic functional testing of systems (to save time for Project engineer of the order) and to learn new systems
  • Helping with customer spray tests
  • Supporting installation & on-site start-up of installations

What you bring with you:

  • Electro-mechanical bachelor or master
  • Experience with TIA Portal to support Siemens PLC platforms (S7-1500 series, S7-1200), typically over an eWON connection.
  • Experience with reading and understanding electrical schemes
  • Eventual knowledge of liquid and air components like valves, pumps, sensors (pressure, flow, temperature, ...)
  • Likes to travel eg to help with startups of sold systems at end users (typical region = Europe, typical 1 to 5 days per month)
  • Team worker
  • Organizing qualities
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Punctuality and accuracy, sense of responsibility
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory. Other languages are an asset.

Our office is currently located at the premises of our high-end production site Spraying Systems AutoJet Europe in Sint-Denijs-Westrem, close to Ghent and as of 2022 in Deinze.
 
Our local team consists of approximately 50 employees who work in the high-tech production in the areas of Research & Development, project engineering and manufacturing (AutoJet) or in the area of Global IT, European Finance and Human Resources (Spraying Systems Europe). The European team cooperates with approximately 20 countries.
