Human Resources Specialist / Business Partner (m/w/d)

We are opening a brand-new position for a Human Resources Specialist / Business Partner reporting to the Management Team in Schorndorf and on a European level to our Director Finance & People EMEA in Ghent / Belgium.

Our aim is to hire an experienced HR colleague who is ready for the next challenge in a dynamic German production environment and a link to the European HR team.

Your tasks:

  • You are responsible for the entire recruitment process of permanent employees (blue collar, white collar, trainees (Auszubildende)) of our growing team
  • You look for local recruitment channels and job fairs in the neighbourhood to ensure efficient hiring and you support the local line managers in the recruitment process and you will work on the company’s employer branding
  • You support our ambitions to build up our traineeship programme in cooperation with schools and universities
  • You facilitate smooth onboardings of our new team members
  • You are responsible for the administrative management of personnel files and social documents: drawing up employment contracts, addenda to contracts, certificates, correspondence, data entry etc and you support the digitalisation of our HR files
  • You are in charge of the German monthly HR reporting (headcount, absenteeism etc)
  • You are the first point of contact for all employees in Germany regarding all HR related questions that are related to social legislation or labor law
  • You are used to cooperate with our work councils in Germany
  • At a later stage you will also be involved in German payroll and Germany fringe benefit matters including fleet management for the teams in Schorndorf and Hamburg, in close cooperation with the European HR team

What you bring with you:

  • A bachelor or master degree in a social direction, ideally in HR
  • German mother tongue but you are also fluent in English
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in HR
  • Familiar with German social and labor law and potential interest in international HR topics
  • HR soft skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • You can work within short deadlines
  • Result orientation, discretion and reliability are a must
  • You are a good team player but can also work independently
  • You are a self-starter and self-motivator and work on your own initiative on a variety of tasks and (partially international) HR projects
