Versatile WhirlJet® SprayDry® Nozzles: Ideal for High Low Applications
WhirlJet SprayDry nozzles feature a large orifice nozzle which is ideal for producing large particle sizes in high volume spray drying applications. These nozzles produce a hollow cone spray pattern with uniform drop distribution that ensures consistent particle size and reduces product waste.
WhirlJet SprayDry nozzle overview:
- Body is constructed of stainless steel with a tungsten carbide whirlchamber to resist corrosion and wear; orifice inserts are carbide; whirlchambers and orifices can be fabricated specifically for your application from other materials
- Wide range of flow rates available from 51 to 1350 gph at 1000 psi (195 to 5140 l/h at 70 bar)
- High-pressure version available up to 5000 psi (340 bar) at a flow rate of 3019 gph (11,340 l/h)
- Interchangeable orifice inserts and whirlchambers allow you to select a nozzle that fits your exact application need
- Whirlchamber options:
- Flat bottom -- large passages eliminate clogging and downtime
- Slope-bottom design minimizes erosion on the whirlchamber bottom, resulting in longer wear-life by reducing the "drilling" effect of the fluid vortex in the whirlchamber

| For High Pressure Applications: The Type AA104 nozzle uses a stainless steel lock screw to securely hold the whirlchamber against the orifice insert during high pressure spraying applications |
For Reduced Maintenance Downtime: Designed for quick and easy assembly, the Type SSTC nozzle uses a stainless steel spring to hold the whirlchamber against the orifice insert |
