K27 - Steelmaking
Features and Benefits
-
Key feature overview for HHCC
FullJet billet cooling spray nozzles:
- Delivers a spray that is more uniform across the cone.
- Patented design that provides uniform coverage which does not vary with pressure from 20 to 100 psi (1.5 to 7 bar).
- Helps control temperature of the strand, a critical component of maximizing uptime with high-speed continuous casting machines.

Key feature overview for
self-cleaning headers:
- Custom-designed.
- Improves product quality, reduces water consumption, eliminates frequent clogging and minimizes production downtime for nozzle maintenance.
- Common uses include cooling before the coiler to eliminate cracking and extend roll life, cleaning strip steel before galvanizing, cooling rolls on a reducing mill and high temperature/high pressure rinsing in a sheet pickling operation.
- Internal rotating brush assembly sweeps debris away from the nozzle without shutting the system down.
- During cleaning cycle, brushes scrub the interior wall of the header as well as nozzle orifices.
- In a matter of seconds, accumulated debris is removed and discharged through a flush-out valve restoring full liquid flow to the system without contaminating the sprayed surface.

Key feature overview for XT VeeJet
spray nozzles (49784):
- Provides a thick footprint with 30° transverse angle.
- Increased surface contact results in better cooling efficiency.
- Compact size of nozzle enables positioning for greater spray overlap.
- Maximum heat removal, increased production and better steel quality.
